Gracie Mae Glaspie, 81 of Stanton, died on Wednesday, July 30, 2003, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, August 1, 2003 at the First Baptist Church Stanton with Rev. David Harp, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery Stanton. She was born on July 13, 1922, in Keller, Texas and married Claud Glaspie, Jr. on December 20, 1941 in Stanton, Texas. He preceded her in death on July 12, 2000. Gracie was a life long resident of Martin County. She loved to play games and dominoes with her neighbors. She dedicated her life to her husband and family, and was a wonderful mother and grandmother.Grace was actively invovled in Martin County Senior Citizen Group and was a volunteer for the Ladies Hospital Auxiliary. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Bud and Marilyn Glaspie of Stanton; daughters and sons-in-law, Helen and Al Perry of Dallas, Betty and Donny Thompson of Midland, LaWanda and Craig Lawhorn of Lake Buchanan and Linda Fryar of Stanton; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Daughettee in 1990 and two brothers, J.B. McKee and Don McKee. The family suggests memorials to: Odessey Hospice of Big Spring, 1510 S.
