Glynora Jean Evans Wall, 81, of Big Spring passed from this Earth into the loving, waiting arms of our Heavenly Father on Sunday morning, April 11, 2021.
She was born in Big Spring, Texas, to Albert Walter Evans and Nettie Ethel Blansit on May 27, 1939, and joined brother, Lonnie, and sister, Wilma. The youngest of four children, she was born on the night her brother graduated from high school. Growing up, family was everything to her.
She took great pride in and dedicated herself to studying the origins of her family. One of her many accomplishments was just how far she came with her genealogy. The depths of her family’s history were great, and, that legacy will live on through her two daughters and future generations. She went by the names of mother, Greenie, Grinny and Grannie; no matter which name you used, she will always be remembered as a woman who deeply loved and cherished her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Her laugh was infectious, and, those are part of the memories that will be forever carried in our hearts.
She is survived by two daughters: Debra Templeton and husband, Richard, of Richlands, North Carolina and Sandra Bair of Williamsport, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents: Albert and Nettie Evans, her brother, Lonnie O. Evans, her sister, Wilma J. Grice, and granddaughter, Deitra K. Templeton.
“Well done, good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: Enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.” Matthew 25:23
