Glenna Ritenour, 87, of Big Spring, died on Monday, November 24, 2003, in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 26, 2003, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Dr. Dave Ring, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be Saturday, November 29, 2003, at Union Cemetery in Durango, Texas.Mrs. Ritenour was born on August 6, 1916, in Lott, Texas and married John Steele Ritenour on November 13, 1943 in Waco, Texas. He preceded her in death on February 17, 1965.Glenna had lived in the community since 1955. She worked at the Veterans Administration Medical Center for several years. She enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter and her great grandchildren. She was a member of First United Methodist Church where she was a former member of the Couples Class. She had also been a member of the 1955 Hyperion Club.Survivors include a daughter, Cynthia Schaffer of Big Spring; one granddaughter and her husband, Kim and Fil Franco of Cedar Park; and three great grandchildren, Kaydra Franco, Kaymi Franco, and Kaya Franco all of Cedar Park.
