Glenda Neeley Chivers, 70, of Lubbock, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 9:00 am, Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel in Midland. Interment will be held at 4:30 pm, Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at Willow Point Cemetery in Bridgeport, Texas.Glenda was born July 15, 1939 in Cordell, Oklahoma to Emma and Bert Neeley. She married James Chivers on February 2, 1957 in Bridgeport. He preceded Glenda in death on July 31, 2007.After her marriage, she and James resided in the Bridgeport area. They later lived in Tatum, Seminole and Midland. After her husband's retirement, Glenda began working as a certified nurse's aide in private care and home healthcare. She enjoyed painting and being on her front porch watching the sunset with her family and friends.Survivors include son, Robert W. Chivers and wife, Rose Marie of Lubbock; daughter, Pamela Chivers of Midland and fiancé, Jeff McDaniel of Coahoma; daughter, Jami Perkins and husband, Brian of Lubbock; daughter, Shelby Condon and husband, Rick of Midland; 5 grandchildren, Bobby Chivers, Jordan Weatherred, Lindsey Weatherred, Tyler Perkins and Caden Condon; and brother, Donald Neeley of Mustang, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Frank Neeley and Lewis Neeley.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
