Glenda Kay Pruitt, 82, of Midland entered her heavenly home on July 22, 2025. Glenda was born on November 17, 1942 in Loraine, TX to Roy and Delia Richard. She loved school and was the Valedictorian of her high school. She married the love of her life on September 1, 1961. She was a stay-at-home mom for many years, worked for Midland ISD for 15 years as a school secretary and then at 50 yrs. old went to college to become a registered nurse. She loved her chemotherapy patients at Texas Oncology and finished her career at Midland Christian School as the school nurse.
Glenda loved music and sang with several groups over the years. She even wrote the words and music to two songs. She was a faithful servant to Jesus since she was 10 yrs. old and was a long-time member of the Main St. Church of Christ and most recently of Downtown Church of Christ.
Her greatest love was her family. Being a loving mom to 3 children, grandma to 4 grandchildren, and keeping in touch with everyone in her extended family gave her great joy. She was a wife, a mother, a grandma, a sister, an aunt, “aunt grandma” and a sister in Christ.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Charles Pruitt; her children, Sheila Pruitt (Midland), Dian Ligon (Mansfield, TX), and Steven Pruitt (Holly)(Collierville, TN); her beloved grandchildren, Madison Pruitt (Arlington, VA), Savannah Pruitt (Oklahoma City), Philip Ligon and Joseph Ligon (Mansfield, TX); her sister, Gail Troutt; her brother, Roy Richard and many nieces and nephews.
