Glen Roy Ledford

Glen Roy Ledford 62 of Stanton, Texas made his way home through the Grace and Mercy of our Lord and Savior on June 26, 2023.

He was born in Midland, TX to Leroy and Mary Sue Ledford on June 9, 1961. He was the oldest of six children. He attended Greenwood ISD, graduating in 1980. He along with his brothers helped their father establish and run Ledford Pump Service for many years. His true passion was building houses, which he learned his skills from his late uncle Arthur (Papa) Ledford. Glen had various skills from building houses, working on oil drilling rigs, water well service and heavy equipment operator. There was nothing he could not do nor was ever scared to tackle.
His passion was being outdoors; fishing, camping and spending time with his family cooking out and listening to any genre of music. He adored his grandkids; they were his shining light. He loved a good ole John Wayne movie which he passed this love down to his grandkids. He loved sharing his knowledge and enjoyed teaching all the skills he had learned throughout his life. He was valued and loved by many and will be greatly missed. Glen was a humble man, never materialistic. His greatest riches were his family.

He survived brain cancer in 1986, colon cancer in 2021. He was diagnosed with liver cancer in February of this year where he received several rounds of chemo to shrink the tumors. He had been diagnosed with early dementia several years ago along with diabetes and had gone deaf in his left ear and partial in his
right. Through all the obstacles he remained positive and fought till his last breath. He was a true warrior. He was OUR HERO.

He leaves behind his wife of 38 years Michael Ann (Mikie) of Stanton, TX Son Matthew and wife Jessicah of Stanton, TX Daughter Brandy Roos of St. Louis, MO Three grandchildren Hailey Cartier, Karson Ledford & Emerson Ledford. His mother Mary Sue Ledford of Midland, TX Sisters Carol Ledford of Odessa, TX and Rene Ledford of Midland, TX Three brothers; Marty Ledford of Kingston, OK David Ledford of Midland, TX and Michael Ledford (Tiffany) of Boyd, TX His dogs Brutus and Pinky Pie, along with numerous close family members and friends. He is proceeded in death by his father W.T. Leroy Ledford, Uncle Arthur (Papa) Ledford and nephew Justin Southerland.
