Glen Lawson, 68, of Midland, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2007, in the Hospice Inpatient Unit at Midland Memorial Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 31, 2007 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel in Midland.Glen was born on July 30, 1938 in Dawson County, Texas to Ervin and Jewell Lawson. He was a member of the Valley View Baptist Church. Glen enjoyed fishing, hunting and water skiing. He was a loving father and stepfather.Survivors include six children; a daughter, Sally Stovall and her fianc?, Ronnie Collier of Midland, a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and GlenHale of Midland, a son, Sammie Lawson of Midland, a son and daughter-in-law, Donnie and Cathy Lawson of Freeman, Missouri, a stepson Randy and Paula Gee of Midland, a stepson, Leslie Gee of Midland; nine grandchildren; Clarissa and Glen Hale, Cameron Gee, Justyne Lawson, Jennifer Lee, Jeramie and Danielle Lawson, Shane Lawson, Marriah Peffers and Arron Lawson; his great grandchildren, Lakota Hale, Sierra Peffers and Tyler Lawson. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Anne Lawson and two grandsons, Jason Hudson and Harley Lawson.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland. Glen is my cousin. We had great times growing up in Patricia, Tx. His mom was my mom's sister. Claudine Robinett

Kay called today from California and wants you all to know she is sorry for the great loss. She loves you and wishes she could be here but you are in her prayers!

Glen's mom was my aunt Jewel. (My dad's sister). He was a tender, caring man to us as kids. He was well like by all who knew him. I saw him in the E.R when he was brought in by his daughter Lisa. (My sis was there). He was tired, but smiled as I told him I loved him and he said, "I love you too hun." I visited him in his room at the hospital the next day and he told me, "Johni, it's time to go." So just know that he was ready and we will see him in heaven someday. I love you all!

Glen was a sweet, dear man. In Matthew 11:28-29, our Lord Jesus promised "Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Glen is with our Lord and enjoying his rest." To Lisa and all the rest of his children and grandchildren, "Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted." Mathew 5:4. Love y'all and wish I could be there with you!

Glen was a fair and decent man with great integrity. I did business with him for a number of years and consider him a friend and someone who you could trust to do what he said he would do. The water well industry will miss this colorful character and our prayers are with his family in their time of loss.
