Gleen Holloway, 73, of Tarzan, died on Thursday, December 16, 2004, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, December 20, 2004 at the Nalley Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel in Big Spring with Rev. Rick Alkire, pastor of Tarzan Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park in Big Spring.The family will receive friends and relatives Sunday, December 19, from 4 PM to 6 PM at the funeral home.He was born on November 12, 1931, in Martin County, Texas and married Colleen Langley on June 9, 1950 in Martin County. She preceded him in death on June 19, 2002.Mr. Holloway was a lifelong resident of Martin County. He was active in 4-H and FFA when his children and grandchildren were involved and also supported them in youth activities. He loved fishing, woodworking and antique cars and tractors. He was a member of Tarzan Baptist Church and served on the board of trustees at Grady ISD and the Martin County Sheriff's Posse.Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Tahita Holloway of Tarzan; two daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Bob Adkins of Lomax and Brenda and Jim Epley of Midland; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, O.J., Elton and Norwood Holloway and two sisters, Leola Welch, and Sylvia Ruth Welch.The family suggests memorials to: Alzheimer's Association, 4400 N.
