Gladys Perkins, 82, of Lubbock, formerly of Big Spring, died on Wednesday, March 12, 2003, in a Lubbock nursing home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, March 15, 2003, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Dr Randy Cotton, pastor of Trinity Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. She was born on July 27, 1920 in Eula, Texas. Mrs. Perkins came to Big Spring in 1956 and worked at Herman's Restaurant for a number of years. She moved to Lubbock in 1993. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and a member of Topps #21 Club. Survivors include three daughters, Joy Huddleston of Lubbock, Betty Gall of Ocala, Florida and Joyce Klien of Sanger; one son, Terry Perkins of Lubbock; two brothers, Wesley Clearman of Carlton and Troy Clearman of Gravatt, Arkansas; two sisters, Lola Shanks of Gold Canyon, Arizona and Emma Jean Teague of Garland; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
