Jan and family, My life is richer because I had the privilege of knowing and loving your mom for 50+ years. She is one of the most special, strong, and inspirational women I had as a role model from a very young age. She was so kind, very understanding and had such a big heart. I always looked forward to visiting her home because I got to laugh with your mom and got one of her comforting hugs! God Bless you and your family. Suzanne

To all of Gladine's family,I pray for peace in your hearts at this sorrowful time. Gladine will be missed greatly by my mom Betty. They talked every sunday and would laugh the whole time. There is a time for mourning and a time for praise, Jesus is the only one that can give the ones left behind a calm spirit and heal the broken hearted. Rejoice in the Lord Jesus at all times.

I HAVE VERY FOND MEMORIES OF MY AUNT, AS SHE WAS ALWAYS VERY SWEET, FUNNY AND LOVED HER FAMILY. AS A Y OUNG GIRL OUR SUMMER VISITS WERE ALWAYS SPECIAL AND I WOULD CRY ALL THE WAY HOME TO WICHITA, THINKING ABOUT THE NEXT TIME WE WOULD VISIT. IN LATER YEARS, ESPECIALLY AFTER MY SON TODD DIED SHE WOULD COMFORT ME AS SHE TRULY KNEW MY PAIN AND I ALWAYS LOVED TALKING TO HER ABOUT WHAT WAS GOING ON IN OUR LIVES. THE ONE THING SHE ALWAYS WOULD ASK ME, WAS HOW MANY PAIRS OF SHOES DID I HAVE, AS SHE CALLED ME "KATY THE SECOND" WHO WAS HER SISTER. I WILL MISS THOSE LENTHTY PHONE CALLS, BUT KNOWING SHE IS WITH THE LOVED ONES THAT HAS GONE BEFORE HER AND MOST OF ALL HER LORD. I LOVE ALL OF YOU AND KNOW YOU ARE IN MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS. YOU HAD A BEAUTIFUL AND SWEET MOTHER WHOS MEMORIES WILL NEVER LEAVE YOUR HEARTS.

I have know Ms. Lane since 1987 when my mom and I moved to 2206 S. Monticello. She was a wonderful lady. She was like the neighborhood grandma. We will miss her dearly but we know she is happy and watching over everyone. She is no longer suffering. We loved her dearly.

I'm just so thankful to have known her and been touched by her life. I only met her on a few occasions, but the one I'll never forget was the winter trip her granddaughter Tonya and I took to Big Spring several years ago. Even though I was in my 30's with two children of my own, I felt like a child in her presence. She was the quintessential "grandmother." She had a way of speaking truth, and sometimes, it wasn't exactly what you wanted to hear...but upon reflection, you realized she was probably right. So three cheers to Gladine, for a life rightly-lived, and for her wonderful homecoming into the Kingdom of Heaven! I will be mightily glad to meet her there again someday.

You guys are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. She was one of a kind, the best kind. I have great memories of summer vacations visiting you all when I was a girl. My heart is full of joy knowing she is reunited with her family in heaven. You are so fortunate to have her with you for 93 years. She always made me feel special, I loved her. I will be thinking of you all tomorrow, take care and be good to one another. God Bless. Love XOXO Vicky
