Geraldine "Jerri" Yingst, 87, of Ackerly, died on Friday, December 5, 2003, in a Stanton nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 9, 2003 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Derrick Looney, pastor of First Baptist Church in Ackerly and Capt. Russ Keeney, pastor of the Salvation Army, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park Big Spring.She was born on January 9, 1916, in Coffeyville, Kansas and married Paul Leon Yingst on July 12, 1935 in Stroud, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on November 26, 1972.Jerri was a longtime resident of Ackerly and was a homemaker.Survivors include a daughter & son-in-law, Paula and Dan Lafler; a grandson, Danny Lafler all of Big Spring; one sister, Virginia Bean of Telequah, Oklahoma; two brothers, Bob Crook of Lakland, Louisiana and Henry Crook of Florida; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bruce and Laura Daugherty of Enid, Oklahoma.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
