Geraldine Porter Goode, 91 of Midland, passed away on July 6, 2023. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, July 9, 2023 in the chapel of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.
Geraldine Goode was born on May 27, 1932 in Ada, Oklahoma to Cora and Wiley Porter. Geraldine was married to James O. Goode on December 1, 1950. Not only was Geraldine a devoted wife, mother and homemaker, she was involved in many clubs and organizations; Pink Lady in Midland and Andrews Hospitals, member of the Midland Ladies Auxiliary, and member of the St. Luke’s UMC for 66 years. She was an avid reader and gardener, and was an extremely proficient seamstress and quilter.
Geraldine is survived by her daughters Karen Goode Broyles, husband Gary L. Broyles, and Melissa McCabe, husband Greg A. McCabe, as well as five grandchildren; James R. Broyles of Carlsbad, NM, Amanda and Peng Fan of Longmont, CO, Greg Jr. and Mandy McCabe, of Midland, TX, Joshua McCabe of Ft. Collins, CO, and Jennifer McCabe of Brooklyn, NY, as well as four great grandchildren.
The family would like to include a special thanks to the care provided by the Hospice of Midland and Bee Hive Home Care in Andrews, TX.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of Midland and the American Cancer Society.
