Gerald N. Adams, 67, of Midland, died on Saturday, October 23, 2004, at his residence. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, October 26, 2004 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel in Midland with Elder Ricky Dyer, officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 25, 2004 from 6:30 to 7:30 at the funeral home, 3800 N. Big Spring St. He was born on October 23, 1937, in Stonewall County, Texas and married Carol Shoemake on August 23, 1963 in Snyder, Texas. He was raised at Camp Springs, Texas where his family was engaged in farming and ranching. He served in the US Army and was stationed at Norfolk, Virginia from 1961 to 1962. Gerald resided in Kermit where he was employed with Transwestern Pipeline until moving to Midland in 1976. He was owner of Adams Tubular Goods and G.N. Adams Trucking in Midland until his retirement in April of 2003. He was a member of the West Texas Cruisers Club.Survivors include his wife, Carol Adams of Midland; son & daughter-in-law, Devan & Lacey Adams of Midland; daughter, Michele Adams of Lubbock; daughter & son-in-law, Lindy & Paul Tefteller of Midland, two sisters, Louise Johnson of Abilene, Maurean Lay of Odessa;one brother, Herman Adams of Martindale; two grandsons, Calvin Adams and Conner Tefteller and several nieces and nephews.
