     Gerald D. Harris, 79, of Midland, died on Tuesday, February 5, 2002 at the Hospice House of Odessa. Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, February 7, 2002 at Resthaven North Mausoleum with Rev. Bob Porterfield, pastor of West Kentucky Baptist Church, officiating.      He was born on December 17, 1922 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas and married Emma Lee Prestage on June 23, 1923 in El Paso, Texas.     He was a Baptist and had served in the United States Army during World War II and had been employed for ElPaso Natural Gas for thirty two years.      Survivors include his wife, Emma Harris of Midland; one daughter, Dorothy Knebel of Mdland; two sons, David Harris of El Paso and Jerry Harris of Houston, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.      Arrangements under the direction of Gilbreath Funeral Home.,
