Georgina “Gean” Margaret Elizabeth Clinkscales, 100, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2025.
She was born May 10, 1925 in Great Bardfield, Essex, England to parents Edward Buttle and Ellen Winyard Buttle.
She came to the United States in July of 1957. She lived in Oklahoma, New Mexico, Indiana, back to New Mexico and finally to Big Spring, Texas. She also lived in Forsan before settling in Big Spring. In 2022 she moved to Andrews, Texas and lived with daughter Anne and her husband Patrick.
She worked at many different jobs and retired after spending 26 years at Dunlaps as manager of lady’s ready-to-wear department.
She is survived by her daughters Anne Schulz (Patrick) and Brenda Doil (Jack); 11 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Gean was preceded in death by her husband Jack Clinkscales, sons John Clinkscales, Peter Clinkscales and David Clinkscales; her parents Edward and Ellen Buttle and her brother Edward Buttle.
