Georgia C. Thompson, 80, of Big Spring, died on Monday, March 28, 2005, in a local hospital. No services are planned.She was born on September 3, 1924, to James and Addie Adcock in Aquilla, Texas and married Emery Thompson on February 3, 1945 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Mrs. Thompson had lived in Big Spring since July 1969. During World War II, she had worked for the Department of Defense as a "Rosie the Riveter". She enjoyed sewing, ceramics and traveling. Georgia was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Survivors include her husband, Emery W. Thompson of Big Spring; her son and daughter-in-law, Jackie W. and Garnetta S. Thompson of Jeffersonville, Kentucky; three grandsons, Eric W. Thompson and wife, Keri of Louisville, Kentucky, Gregory K. Thompson and wife, Peggy of Louisville, Kentucky and Brian D. Thompson of Stamping Ground, Kentucky; four great grandchildren, Kyle L. Thompson, Courtney L. Thompson, Jenna N. Thompson, and Kaia M. Thompson all of Louisville, Kentucky. Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
