George Thomas Walden, 61, of Midland, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on December 15, 2015 surrounded by angels, gently lifting his spirit into the heavenly hands of Jesus. He was born in Midland on January 25, 1954 to Clarence Virgil Walden and Gladys E. Watts Walden.George was a lifelong resident of Midland. He was employed by Dunlaps, Clyde Green Carpets and Midtex of Midland. He later owned and operated C & G Fine Furnishings. He furnished many beautiful homes in the area and enjoyed working with his clients. He had a passion for home and interior design. He was also gifted in landscaping. George had two Miniature Italian Greyhounds, Daisy and Potter, who brought tremendous joy and happiness to him.George leaves behind to cherish his memory: two sisters, Mary Hazlewood and husband, J.W. of Midland and Kathy Scoggins and husband, James of Midland; nieces and nephews, Suzanne Roberts, Lisa McClellan, Mark McClellan of Roswell, NM; Michele Jungman of Midland, Sherrie Schuster of Junction, Benny Scoggins, Mary Scoggins, Ellen Scoggins, all of Midland; great-nieces and great-nephews, Ty Roberts, Rene Hudson of Roswell, NM, Sara Nine of Lubbock, Jill West of Lufkin, Ross McClellan of Roswell, NM, Clayton Jungman, Amanda Sharp and Natalie Jungman, all of Midland, Garrett Schuster of Junction, Meredith Schuster of San Antonio, Cody Molina and Matthew Scoggins of Midland; six great-great nephews; and two great-great nieces.George was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Virgil Walden (September 3, 1971); his mother, Gladys W. Watts Walden (July 15, 2009); sisters, Barbara Walden McClellan (February 13, 2009) and Dolores Walden Bishop (July 5, 2011); grandparents, Arthur and Della Walden, Archie and Anna Watts; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.George’s family is thankful for the loving and caring staff at Hospice Midland, Christy, Anna, McConnell, George and Chaplain Robert Kirk and caregivers, Anna, Santa, Elizabeth, Sylvia, Mary, Sara and Socorro.The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm, Friday, December 18, 2015 at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland, Texas with Chaplain Robert Kirk officiating.Memorials may be directed to Hospice Midland, P.O.
