She was born October 11, 1933 in Knott, Texas to C. O. and Pearl Henson Jones. Geneva married Billy Ray Howell July 31, 1951 in Knott, Texas and he preceded her in death September 22, 2018. Geneva was a longtime resident of Howard County. She worked as a LVN for over 20 years at Mountain View Lodge and retired from Stanton Nursing and Rehab in Stanton in 2001. She enjoyed listening to music, and loved her cats and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.
Survivors include three daughters, Connie Traylor and husband, Jim of Midland, Sandra Yeager and husband, Rick of Odessa, and Nancy Daniel and husband, Marty of San Angelo; nine grandchildren: Christy Scoggins and husband, Billy; Brandy Fowler and husband Eric Clutter; Dustin Traylor and wife, Liz; Amber Stewart and husband, Dustin; Nick Traylor; Megan Smith and husband, Jordan; Nicole Jones and husband, Jay; Lindsey Nelson and husband, Josh; and Whitney Martin and husband, Larry. 19 great-grandchildren: Heather, Cody, Deacon, Lacy, Hunter, Paisley, Wyatt, Presley, Slayden, Lorali, Holden, Kamden, Wally, Payten, Nathan, Bryden, Brylee, Porter and Lainey; and her lifelong friend, JoAnn “Nila” Peugh.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; and four brothers.
The family would like to express their thanks to the staff at Big Spring Center for Skilled Care and the staff at Interim Hospice for the compassionate care and love given to momma and compassion given to her family.
