On the evening of December 6, 2007 Geneva Jo Franklin peacefully passed into the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday, December 9, 2007, at the First Baptist Church of Stanton with the Rev. David Harp, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton. The family will receive friends 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM Saturday at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 200 W. Broadway, in Stanton.She was born August 2, 1920 in Tussy, Oklahoma to W.E. and Lou Ella Mae Allgood. She married Delbert Franklin on March 5, 1939 in Duncan, Oklahoma, and he preceeded her in death on April 16, 2006.Geneva and Delbert came to Stanton in 1950. In 1961, they started Franklin & Son Inc. She also was a wonderful homemaker and loved cooking, sewing, crochet, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Geneva was a member of First Baptist Church and taught Sunday School for many years.Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Joetta and Gary Harris of Midland; and one son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Bonnie Franklin of Stanton.She was "MaMaw" to eight grandchildren, Reggie Franklin and wife, Kristi, Melissa Wheeler and husband Gib, Mark Thompson and wife LaShawnda, Mike Thompson, Julie Berry and husband Dean, Joely Fox and husband, Marshall, Brandee Noll and husband, Anthony, and Shawn Glenn and husband David; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great granddaughter; one sister Jessie Leo Adkins; three brothers, Kenneth Allgood and wife Jean, Bill Allgood and wife Arlene, and Cherry Allgood and wife Delores, numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceeded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother.,
