Extending heartfelt sympathy to you and your family. God is our refuge and strength, a loving help when we face sorrow.-Ps.34:18. May time soften the pain until all that remains are loving memories.

So many memories. I would like to share one that gave us all a chuckle over the years. Our visits were not as frequent as we would have liked. We wanted to make the most of our time together. "Burning the candle at both ends" for Nancy and me meant wee hours of the morning. For Gene a totally different meaning. He would disappear, return in his pajamas to say goodnight at 9:30 PM ! Could almost set your clock! My daughter Debbie says "My memory of Uncle Gene is always him in his "jammies"! My son Rick says "Uncle Gene was such a great guy" Had we known sooner how to keep him up later, we probably would have started meeting for our visits in Las Vegas many years ago. He was the brother I never had. A bond of 50 years. He carried the tragedy and grief in his life silently. None that I know was more devoted to his family. I love him even more for that devotion and the care he gave my sister in her last years. I know there are many loving arms outstretched to welcome you Home. Well done, Gene!

We are so sorry about the death of your Dad. We know you will miss him. How wonderful - he's with God now. Gene & Nancy are very special to us. Gene could make a Y-Flyer do anything - and the floats down the Frio at Leaky were always a blast with you and our girls. You and your families are in our prayers. We love you, Bill and Dee Wilson
