Gene Edward Burrow, 74, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2009, at his home in Big Spring, Texas. He was born December 20, 1934 in Westbrook, Texas to J. H. and Addie Burrow, who preceded him in death. He graduated from Flower Grove High School in 1951 and attended Howard College in Big Spring. Gene was employed as service manager for Bob Brock Ford until the late 1970's when he began farming full time. He retired from farming in 1996.Gene was a kind and gentle man of compassion, generosity, faith and high ethics. He will be remembered most for his devotion to his family.He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Burrow of Big Spring; two sons, Brent Burrow and Chris Burrow and wife, Jill all of Lubbock; two granddaughters, Amberly and KK Burrow; and one sister, Martha Lowke and husband, Mike of Robstown.Gene was a member of First Baptist Church.Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 18, 2009, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Mark Lindsey, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 7 PM to 8 PM Monday at the funeral home.The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, % Carolyn Brooks, P.
