Gaylon W. Hail, 67, passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 16, 2017 at his home in Big Spring, TX. He was born on August 24, 1950 in Hale Center, TX to Wilbor and Melba Hail. Gaylon grew up in West Texas where he was blessed with many friends. Gaylon married Londa Pittman Bradley on January 27, 1987 in Abilene, TX.Gaylon served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and he was a proud veteran and member of the Leander VFW. Gaylon was a licensed realtor and custom home builder. He was a member of the Big Country Home Builder’s Association in Abilene, where he was named home builder of the year.He enjoyed Star Trek, fishing, hunting, watching football, and shooting firearms. Gaylon never knew a stranger, and grew an extended family everywhere he went. He will be remembered for his bad jokes, great BBQ, and his belief in hard work and integrity. He was a man of faith and his family was his greatest joy in life.Gaylon was preceded in death by his mother, father, brother-in-law Don and two nieces: Hannah and Markee.Gaylon is survived by his spouse Londa Hail; his children and their spouses: Jamie Kirk, Aaron and Stephanie Bradley, Adam Bradley and Michele Brown, Amanda and Troy Cox, Scotty Hail and Steven Hail; his siblings: Dennis Hail, Kathy Mathys, Tina Hail-Patton, and Winna Fisher; his grandchildren: Taylor Bradley, Trenton Bradley, Jack Wolf, Sam Brown, Hannah and Max Honsaker; his brothers and sisters in law: Mark and Tammy, Debbie, Dale, Lee, David and Patty; his many nieces, nephews, cousins and his beloved cats: Sheba and Flash.Memorial services will be held at a future date in Austin.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home and Crematory.
