Gaylia McDaniel, 88, of Big Spring, died Friday, October 14, 2016 at her residence. Services are planned at a later date in Kansas.Gaylia was born June 28, 1928 in Abilene, Texas and married Ollie C. McDaniel April 7, 1950 in Big Spring, Texas. He preceded her in death February 20, 2000.She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business from Hardin Simmons University. She loved being a homemaker, raising her boys and being with her grandchildren.Gaylia is survived by two sons; Gordon McDaniel and wife Susan of Coahoma and Russell McDaniel and wife, Angela of Trumbull, Connecticut; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.She was also preceded in death by her parents, Ernest B. and Hazel Comer Hilburn and one sister, Nadel SteaklyArrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
