Gary Don Taylor

Gary Taylor, 73 of Midland, TX, passed away on Thursday August 1, 2024. A visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 8, 2024 at Rankin Cemetery in Rankin, TX.

Gary was born on February 4, 1951 in Odessa, TX to Charles Edwin (CE) Taylor and Ruby Brock Taylor. Gary was drafted into the US Army and served 2 years of active duty; 4 years inactive. He married his high school sweetheart Tricia on June 1, 1973 and they have been happily married for 51 years. Gary worked for Halliburton for 7 years and BJ services for over 20 years, going from Galveston, TX to Midland, TX to the Middle East where he called Kuwait his home for 10 years with his family. He retired back to Midland, TX in 2009 but soon started Taylor Consulting. He officially retired in 2022. Gary loved fishing, hunting but most of all spending time with his two grandchildren.

Gary is survived by wife Tricia Taylor, son Garrett Taylor and his wife Angela Taylor, grandchildren Jordan and Emma Taylor, sister Rene Basham, brother Doug Taylor and beloved dogs Lolly and Maggie. Gary is preceded in death by parents Charles Edwin Taylor and Ruby Brock Taylor, brother Bobby Joe, and twin sister Kaye Dugan.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. PJ Patel and staff and family and friends who have reached out during this difficult time.

Pallbearers will be Garrett Taylor, Doug Taylor, Edward Perez, Miguel Perez, Aaron Esikhati, Josh Moore, Brannon Therwhanger and Guillermo Vela. Honorary pallbearer will be Jordan Taylor.
