Gary Burt

Gary Burt, 68, of Big Spring, passed away, Tuesday, May 23, 2023. He will lie in state from 8:00 am until 9:00 pm, Friday, May 26, 2023 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am Saturday, May 27, 2023 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment with Air Force Honors will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

Gary was born October 11, 1954 in Marshfield, WI to parents Jay Burt and Olga Laskowski Burt. He married Temple Oneta McDaniel in Marshfield, WI on October 26, 1974. Gary loved bass fishing, riding his Harley; building and painting model cars and online racing. He was a member of the Big Spring Bass Club. He was also a member and deacon of Crestview Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was stationed at Webb Air Force Base.

Gary is survived by wife his wife Temple; one daughter: Jaye Rue (Mario); grandsons: Dylan Roper, Colton Roper, Alstion Roper and Junior Roper, all of Big Spring; his sisters: Irene Heeg of WI, Loretta Osborne (Roy) of Odessa, and Cheryl Burt of WI.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Russell Burt and Jesse Burt and a son-in-law Jimmy Roper.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in his honor be made to Crestview Baptist Church, 2305 Gatesville Rd., Big Spring, TX 79720.
