Garnett Harrison Johnson, 80, of Comanche formerly of Big Spring, died on Wednesday, October 14, 2009, in a Ft. Worth hospital. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at the Nalley-Pickle and Welch Rosewood Chapel in Big Spring with Rev. R.T. Havener, pastor of the First Assembly of God Church, officiating.Garnett was born on August 29, 1929, in Graham, Texas to G.L. and Annie Lea (Tindol) Harrison.She moved to Big Spring in 1934 where she grew up. She worked as a waitress and then in the offices of the Water Department for the City of Big Spring for several years. In 1979 she moved to Comanche, Texas.Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Peggy Harrison; a brother-in-law, Allen Blanks; two sisters-in-law, Joy Harrison and Willie Mae Harrison; and numerous nieces and nephews. Garnett was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Raymond Blackmon and Oscar Johnson; one son, Rickie Lee Blackmon; one daughter-in-law, Dee Witt; five brothers, Lavorn, J.W., Alvie, Clinton, and Clifton Harrison; four sisters, Faye Warren, Elsie Blanks, Pauline Stout and Jean Fidler.
