I love Gail! She's been in my family longer than I have. As a little girl she had me in every Cinderella pageant that came to town and always made sure I was pretty as a picture. She took us to every Ice Capades, and other kid events too. Most of them were all the way in Midland. We even got to go out to eat and have all the candy we could handle when we were with Gail! In 4-H when I was probably ten or so, I was in the cooking competition. Gail was a judge and I got 2nd because I put too much salt on my pecans. Since then, I’ve always measured and used a knife to make it perfect & think of her with a smile every time. Gail was at every birthday party, Girl Scout & 4-H event, and overall function I think I ever had and was such a sweet grandmother to me! She gave me that stern look when I needed it and then took me to Baskin Robins. We went so often that they wouldn't hire me as a teen because they knew how much I could eat. But… Gail gave me a job at her travel agency when I was at HC. It was an enormous pleasure and great complement that she trusted me with such a personal service business. We ate lunch together most days (she paid of course) and she brought me and Karen snacks the other days. Gail spoiled me from the day I was born. As I was moving away to go to UT, I needed to take off work to find an apartment and register for school. No way was Gail letting me take the Toyota truck that was one year older than me – oh no! She rented me a bright blue Mustang for the entire time I was gone. That was the fanciest car I’d driven then and for a long time after. I have so many wonderful memories – “Gail’s knock†(she had her own) on the door then coming in the house telling us something as she was walking in. Gail’s deep and constant love for me that I always knew I could rely on. Gail’s pride in me, it seemed no matter what I did, it was amazing to her. As I said, I love Gail! I will miss her to the core and am so sad that I’m not able to come to the funeral. If there was any way, I’d be there! Karen, I love you dearly & I am so extremely sorry that your precious mom is with your dad. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you Gail for my lifetime of cherished, treasured, precious memories. You helped make my life better and I love you immensely!Tasha Rock
