Fredric “Fred” William Renz, 81, of Midland passed away on Monday, March 7, 2016. The family will be accepting guests at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Wednesday, March 9, 2016. Funeral services will begin at 1:00pm at St. Nicholas Episcopal Church on Thursday, March 10, 2016 with Father David Huxley officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.Fred was born on June 6, 1934 in Plainfield, New Jersey to Finton and Elizabeth Renz. He married his soulmate, Fran Timpson, on September 11, 1954. Fred and Fran moved from New Jersey to Dallas, Texas in 1972 when he became the Supervisor of the Communications Department for Mobil Pipeline. He worked in many departments and was the Senior Design Coordinator of liquid measurements when he retired after 40 years with the company. Fred loved camping and spending summers at the beach with his wife and their children, Sharon and Paul. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and building projects with them. He was loved and adored by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Fred was the love of Fran’s life. Their unconditional love for each other was seen every day during their 61 years of marriage. He will be greatly missed by his entire family and numerous friends.He is preceded in death by his parents, Finton and Elizabeth Renz.Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Frances Renz; daughter, Sharon Sorrells and husband Darrell; son, Paul Renz and wife Gloria; 6 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.Pallbearers will be Marty Renz, Julio Renz, Robert Renz, Dillon Renz, Bradley Sorrells, and Dylan Ellis.The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the loving care of the entire staff of Home Instead.In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Hospice Midland, 911 West Texas, Midland, Texas 79701, St. Nicholas Church, 4000 West Loop 250 N, Midland, Texas 79707, and the Alzheimer’s Association of Midland, 4400 N Big Spring St, Midland, TX 79705.,
