Frank “Frankie” Castillo, of Midland went home to the Lord on Tuesday, November 28, 2023. Frank was born on September 9, 1948, in Plainview, Texas to Josie Sanchez. He was raised in Plainview along with 3 brothers and 3 sisters. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1969 and worked as a butcher until he retired. Frankie married the love of his life, of 52 years Margarita “Margaret” Rogers Castillo on May 22, 1971. He had 2 children, Erica Castillo Luján and Raymond Castillo. Frankie loved to play poker and golf with his friends, as well as all of the sports and activities his grandchildren and great grandchildren were involved in. Frankie took part in many organizations, Knights of Columbus, St. Vincent de Paul, Helping Hands, Salvation Army, PTA, ACTS, marriage encounters, and the hospitality committee, to name a few. He is survived by his wife Margaret Castillo, daughter Erica Luján and husband Arturo Jr. of Midland, daughter-in-law Yolanda Castillo of Plainview, 9 grandchildren, Genieva Lujan Vasquez and husband Luis Vasquez, Frankie Lujan Carrasco and husband Luis Carrasco, Arturo Q. Lujan III and wife Melissa Mejia, all of Midland, 26 great grandchildren, Issaddie Lujan, Alicia Carrasco, Arturo Q. Lujan IV of Midland, and 7 great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his mother, Josie Sanchez, son Raymond Castillo, sister Juanita Juarez, and brother Robert Sanchez.
Viewing will be on Sunday, December 3rd, from 9:00AM – 8:00PM with rosary service to follow, at 7:00PM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory, at 3800 N. Big Spring St., Midland, Texas. Funeral service is set for Monday, December 4th at 10:00AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish & Shrine. Burial will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens, at 6800 TX-349, Midland, TX.
