Frank Vigus, 56, of Big Spring, died on Saturday, March 1, 2003, at his residence. A memorial service will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 3, 2003, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Elwin Collom, pastor of the 1st Baptist Church of Coahoma , officiating. He was born on January 27, 1947 in McPherson , Kansas and married Virginia Houchin on August 25, 1995 in Big Spring, Texas. Mr. Vigus owned and operated Frank's Garage for the past 22 years, here in Big Spring. Frank was a member of Wesley Chapel Methodist Church of Gholson, Texas and had served in the U. S. Air Force from 1966 to 1969. He was an aircraft mechanic in Viet Nam. Survivors include: his wife, Virginia Vigus of Big Spring; his mother, Jessie Vigus of Gholson, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, John and Barbara Vigus of West, Texas; four daughters, Denise Wagner and husband Doug, Amy Stilwell and husband Willie all of Big Spring, Lisa Lamb and Michael Pierce of Austin, and Teresa Paige of Midland; a step-daughter, Dawn Ditto and Tim Burleson of Temple and a step-son Danny Ditto and Laura of San Antonio. Frank is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 2 nieces, 4 nephews, 2 great nieces and 1 great-great niece . Frank was preceded in death by his father, Frank L. Vigus, Sr. and one sister, Connie Smith.
