Francisco (Pancho) Salcido of Coyanosa, Texas passed away January 30, 2019. Rosary will be held on Thursday January 31, 2019 at 7:00 PM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel and services on Friday February 1, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Midland, TX. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.Pancho was born on April 2, 1932 in El Pueblito, Chihuahua, Mexico to Leonides Nieto and Amador Salcido. Pancho was the youngest of seven children. His father passed away when Francisco was only 14, and he took it upon himself to provide for his family at that early age. He worked as a farm hand mostly in the United States, returning often to Mexico in search of love and happiness, which lead him to finding the love of his life, Elisa (Salcido) Sanchez. He and Elisa raised five children from humble beginnings starting in Chihuahua and eventually settling in Coyanosa, TX. Pancho’s outlook on life was simple, “give everything you have to the ones you love”. He was humble, literally and physically worked hard, and you could always count on him to find humor in life. He enjoyed singing at the top of his lungs with or without mariachis. The pride and love he felt for his children and grandchildren will continue to impact them for the rest of their lives. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Elisa Salcido, after 57 years of marriage.Pancho is also survived by his five children: Manuel Salcido, Elsa Chacon, Francisco Javier Salcido, Emilia Yanagi, Mauricio Salcido; one brother, Camacho Salcido of Aldama Chihuahua; and by eleven grandchildren and one on the way.In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials can be donated to Home Hospice, 200 W. Illinois, Ste. 190, Midland, Texas 79701 or Our Lady of Guadalupe, 1401 East Garden Lane, Midland, Texas, 79701.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
