Louise Hale, 82, of Big Spring, died on Thursday, January 22, 2009, in a local nursing home. Graveside funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, January 24, 2009 at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park Big Spring with Rev. Joey Bacon associate pastor of Trinity Baptist Church officiating. She was born on December 30, 1926, in Comanche, Texas and married Walker "Spike" Hale, Jr. on December 24, 1950 in Denver City, Texas. He preceded her in death on October 17, 1987. Mrs. Hale grew up in Comanche and Denver City. She and her husband lived in Odessa for 17 years before moving to Big Spring in 1970. She was a homemaker and a Methodist. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Rocky and Yvonne Hale of Big Spring; one daughter, Stormy Ward of Big Spring; four granddaughters, Amy Otho of Greenwood, Ashley Ward of Big Spring, Melissa Hale of Midland, Courtney Endsley of Amarillo; two grandsons, Chase Ward of Coahoma and Brian Hale of Big Spring and six great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers. The family suggests memorials be made to Big Spring State Hospital Patient Fund, 1901 N. Hwy 87, Big Spring, Texas 79720. Stormy and Rocky- I'm so sorry for your loss...I never met your mother but I KNOW she had to be a strong, intelligent, and special woman to have helped you two grow into the successful and wonderful individuals that you both have become. Bless you all. Michelle

Dear Stromy and Rocky. I wanted to say May the Lord Watch over you during this time. I can remember your Mom cooking for us, me always eating with you guys. She was a very good cook. One time I remember, when your Dad went hunting for dove. She pulled all the feathers off and she showed us the bird seed inside. Time sure does go by. Hope you know I will pray for you. My Dad is still in Odessa, he is 82. Love and prayers always Debbie

We have good memories of the years Louise shared Thanksgiving with us. She taught me that the green on white potatoes is poison, so we make sure to peel all of that off. We will enjoy seeing her as we review our holiday pictures. May God bless you and fill you with His love and peace.
