Louise Hale, 82, of Big Spring, died on Thursday, January 22, 2009, in a local nursing home. Graveside funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, January 24, 2009 at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park Big Spring with Rev. Joey Bacon associate pastor of Trinity Baptist Church officiating. She was born on December 30, 1926, in Comanche, Texas and married Walker "Spike" Hale, Jr. on December 24, 1950 in Denver City, Texas. He preceded her in death on October 17, 1987. Mrs. Hale grew up in Comanche and Denver City. She and her husband lived in Odessa for 17 years before moving to Big Spring in 1970. She was a homemaker and a Methodist. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Rocky and Yvonne Hale of Big Spring; one daughter, Stormy Ward of Big Spring; four granddaughters, Amy Otho of Greenwood, Ashley Ward of Big Spring, Melissa Hale of Midland, Courtney Endsley of Amarillo; two grandsons, Chase Ward of Coahoma and Brian Hale of Big Spring and six great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers. The family suggests memorials be made to Big Spring State Hospital Patient Fund, 1901 N. Hwy 87, Big Spring, Texas 79720.
