Frances Wynelle Bailey, 91, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday morning, May 28, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, May 30, 2008 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Mike Couch, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the funeral home.She was born in Howard County October 25, 1916, to J. Tom and Pearl Rogers. She was raised in the Fairview Community. She married her beloved husband of 63 years, Walker Bailey, on Christmas Day, 1932.She worked at Collins, Walker, Petroleum, and Cunningham & Phillips Drug Stores in the 1940's and 1950's and was part owner of Tot 'N Teen children's store. Through those years, she worked hauling cotton from their fields to the gin.She was a member of the First Baptist Church.She was known as "Nana" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and as "Aunt Jane" to her nieces and nephews and as "Kid" to her loving husband.Our matriarch will be dearly missed by her daughter, Marijann Stevens; her granddaughter, Valerie White and her husband, Alan; her grandson, Vance Stevens and Donna of Deer Park; her great-grandson, Jason Stevens and his son, Charlie of Houston; and great-grandson, Jared Stevens, wife Randi, and children, Stokley and Landry of Clyde, along with four generations of nieces and nephews.She was welcomed home by those who preceded her: her parents, husband, grandson, Brad Stevens, sister, Jewell Forrest, and brothers, Weldon and W.J.
