Frances Thrailkill Scott, 66, of Midland, Texas, died on Friday, January 29, 2010, in a Midland hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Stanton with Rev. David Harp, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton.The family will receive friends from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.Fran was born on January 10, 1944, at Malone & Hogan Clinic in Big Spring, to R.C "Bob" and Helen Thrailkill, of Lenorah. She was a Class of 1962 graduate from Big Spring High School. She later attended Nursing School at Medical Arts Hospital where she earned her LVN Nursing license in 1964. She was a practicing nurse for almost 40 years, and has been employed with Ameritox Labs in Midland for the past 3 years.Her interests included family, Department 56 collectibles, and reading.Fran touched a lot of people in her short life on earth. Her walk of faith; steadfast dedication to her family; personality of gentle, witty, wisdom; and the uncanny ability to recall times and dates of even the most obscure events in all of her family's lives, brought endless joy to her family and friends.She will be terribly missed by those who loved her. She was a member of Lenorah Baptist Church.Survivors include three sons & daughters-in-law, K. C. and Dodie Caulder of Odessa, Robert and Marla Scott and Bill and Sheila Scott all of Midland; her mother, Helen Thrailkill of Stanton; a sister, Pat High of Stanton; four grandchildren, Taylor Scott, Samantha Caulder, Amanda Scott and Kevin Caulder; one nephew, Stacy Stribling and wife, Shelly and their son, Noble Stribling of Midland.She was preceded in death by her father, R.
