Frances Jester Brown Glenn died Monday, February 23,2009. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, February 27, 2009, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel in Big Spring. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Friday before the services at the Rosewood Chapel.She was born in Navarro County, Texas, on December 18, 1910. She moved to Knott in the 1920's and then to Big Springin the 1930's. She married Joseph Wayne Glenn in January 1934,and hepreceded her in death in December 1940. She is survived by her two children, Norman Wayne Glenn and Lynda Gayle Glenn Billings; six grandchildren, Michael Glenn McFarland, Kevin Paul Billings, James Christopher Billings,Lance Wayne Billings,Patrick Glenn and Gavin Glenn;four great-grandchildren, Christopher Trent Billings, Tanner Paul Billings, Christopher Michael Billings, Madeline Josefina Billings, and Augustus LoganGlenn and a number of nieces and nephews living in the Big Spring and Midland area.Frances was elected the Howard County Treasurer in 1950 and held the office for thirty years retiring in 1980.On her time off from work, she was an avid bowler and held local, state, and national offices in the Women's Bowling League.When she wasn't bowling, she was fishing.Frances loved and was loved byher family and her many friends.The family suggests memorials be made to the American Red Cross, Dallas Chapter, 4800 Harry Hines Blvd., Dallas, Texas 75235-7717.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
