Eddye Frances Biggs, 95, passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday, October 9, 2024 in Stanton Texas.
Visitation will be Monday, October 14, 2024 from 9:30 to 11:00am in the Fellowship Hall of the First Methodist Church in Stanton with Funeral Services to follow. Burial immediately afterwards at Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton.
Frances was born August 4, 1929 to Edmond Harper Morrow and Gyda Woodward Morrow in a small home outside of Stanton. A younger brother William Elbert joined the family in 1932. Frances met James Newman Biggs at the Methodist Church of Stanton and later they were married on December 23, 1946. Their happy union lasted 55 years until his death in January 2001. This marriage was blessed with three daughters, Beth Murray, Kathy Finley and Leann Herrera.
Frances was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her devotion to the community of Stanton and her church spanned several decades. She served on and chaired many church and community committees. Frances also was a substitute teacher at Stanton high school from 1977 until her retirement in 2009 at the age of 80. Frances cherished the time spent with her card party group on Mondays over the last few decades.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband James, and oldest daughter Beth.
Survivors include brother Billy Morrow, (Virginia) of Midland, Kathy (Tom) Finley of Menard, Leann (Marcus) Herrera of San Angelo, 10 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
The family wishes to give their utmost appreciation for all the love and care given by Jennifer Tomlinson.
Frances had a giving, charitable heart so in lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to a favorite charity in her name.
