Fern Wells Ellington

Fern Wells Ellington, 102, of Big Spring, died on Sunday, September 18, 2005, at her residence. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at Trinity Memorial Park Peace Chapel, with Dr. Dave Ring, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating.She was born on February 14, 1903, in Hopkins County, Texas and married Dr. E. O. Ellington in August, 1961 in Midland. He preceded her in death on October 10, 1972.Mrs. Ellington had lived in Big Spring since 1928. She was a dental hygenist and homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.Survivors include one brother and sister-in-law, C. D. and Jo Wells of Houston; one step daughter, Dorothy White of Newport Beach, California; two step grandchildren, Bruce White and Barbara White both of Newport Beach, California; two nieces, Bonnie Blankinship and husband, Robert and Nancy Lemke and husband, John all of Richmond; one nephew, John Wells and wife Karon of Atlanta, Georgia; and seven great nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, W. H. and Julia Wells, one sister, Connie Gossett and one brother, William D. Wells.
