Faye Aline Baker Heacox passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2009 surrounded by her loving family. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Franklin, officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.Faye was born April 6 in Sikeston, Missouri to Harve and Floy Randolph Baker. She was preceded in death by both parents and twin brother, Ray Baker.She was raised in Sikeston and graduated from Morehouse High School in Morehouse, Missouri. The 5'1" girl was raised on the family farm where she learned to drive a team of mules, John Deer tractors and formed her love of all animals, which carried throughout her life.On September 3, 1949 she married Danny Heacox. They lived in Sikeston, Missouri where they were blessed with the birth of their two daughters Pat and Danna. In 1957 the family moved to Midland. Faye was wife, mother, Nannie, and Shorty to many friends. She loved her family and was proudest of her two 'blonde curly headed girls'. Faye always put her family's needs before her own. Faye was a devout Christian and was a charter member of West Kentucky Baptist Church, formerly Temple Baptist Church. Through the years she served as treasurer and taught Sunday School, Training Union, GA's and Vacation Bible School. Short of illness and now death, Faye missed very few church services. At all family gatherings she gave grace and always remembered to 'bless the hands who prepared this meal.'Faye is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Danny Heacox; daughters, Pat Cartmell, and Danna Cantrell and her husband, Claudie; grandchildren, Chad Cartmell and Leasha Cartmell and her fiancé, Corey Pollock; great-granddaughter, Hadlea Faye Cartmell; sister, Mary Baker Clark and her husband, Webster of Olathe, KS; brother-in-law, Charles Heacox and his wife, Peggy of Iowa Park, TX; numerous nieces and nephews.Mother, your memory will be cherished as you are leaving a huge void in our lives.
