*Media Obituary*Sue Read, 92, of Big Spring, died on Monday, April 25, 2005, at her residence. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 27, 2005 at Trinity Memorial Park, with Rev. Flynn Long, retired Presbyterian minister, officiating and Rev. Matt Miles, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, assisting. The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.She was born on July 12, 1912, in Big Spring, Texas.Sue was raised in Big Spring, and was the daughter of Noble and Bonnie Read, a pioneer ranching family in Howard County. She graduated from Big Spring High School in 1930 then attended and graduated from the University of Texas with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. She had lived in Midland for 25 years and worked as a secretary and an accountant in the oil industry. She enjoyed traveling. Sue was a member of First Presbyterian Church where she was active in the Women's Circle.Survivors include her sister, Jane Burnett of Ft. Worth; nine nieces and nephews and a number of great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Read, Hezzie Noble Read, Jr. and Roger M. Read. The family suggests memorials to a favorite charity.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
