Evelyn Katovitch Breen, Lyn Breen? On May 8, 2006, Lyn Breen went home to be with her Lord. Lyn was born March 19, 1925 in Jordanville, New York to Frank and Anna Katovitch, who were Polish immigrants that came through Ellis Island in the early 1900s.She attended Crain Corners Grade School and Jordanville Grade School, and graduated from Van Hornsville High School in New York.During WWII (1943-1947) she attended South West Missouri State College in Missouri. Evelyn graduated in 1947. She was a member of the PANOLA Sorority. She served as president of the Senior Class. In 1946, she was crowned Homecoming Queen and Rose of Sigma Tau Fraternity. She married Robert Cloud Booth in 1947 and moved to Rolla, Missouri where Mr. Booth attended the Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy at Rolla, Missouri.In 1949 Mrs. Breen lived in Houston, in 1955 in Corpus Christi and in 1957 to present date she and her family resided in Midland. Mrs. Breen served her community in many organizations such as; the Midland Odessa Symphony Guild, the Midland Opera Guild, the Green Thumb Garden Club, a member of the Republican Women Group. Lyn worshipped as a member of the Presbyterian Church, where she enjoyed her weekly bible study classes.She married her darling, Dr. Paul B. Breen, in August of 1978. Shortly after marriage Lyn and Paul moved to Houston, where Lyn received her LVN degree in nursing and Paul completed his degree in Chiropractics. Then the couple returned to Midland, and Lyn was Dr. Breens office manager and partner in his chiropractic practice. They worked and played together for the next 22 years enjoying a life dedicated to many fine patients and each other. Lyn is survived by her beloved husband Dr. Paul Breen. Other survivors are her two sons Robert Cloud Booth, Jr. of Kerrville, TX and Dr. William Carroll Booth and his wife Dr. Carol of San Marcos, TX., and four daughters; Mary Anne Deaton and husband Fred of Ozona, TX., Patricia Lewis of Atlanta, GA., Addie Jeanne Woodard and her husband Randy of San Marcos, and Tamara Arnett and husband Paul of Kaaawa HI. Lyn was survived by 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Also survived by two sisters Harriett Gumport of Greenville, N.Y, and Elizabeth Hammond of Mohawk, N.Y., one brother, Walter Katovitch of Daytona Beach, Fla., and numerous nieces and nephews.The family suggests memorials be made to Hospice of Midland, P.O.
