Evelyn Diggs Rowland, 87, of Big Spring, died on Friday, May 22, 2009 in a local nursing home. At her request, there will be no services as she has donated her body to the Texas Tech Medical School, Lubbock.She was born on October 22, 1921 in McComb, Oklahoma. She married Ewell (Skinny) Diggs and he preceded her in death in 1991 after 49 years of marriage. They had lived in Snyder. After moving to Big Spring, she met and married JD Rowland, the love of her life, in 1997. They were members of Trinity Baptist Church.Survivors include her husband, JD Rowland of Big Spring; his children, Joe Dan Rowland and wife, Carla of Dallas and Kay Myers and husband, John of Big Spring; her three children, Patsy Baldwin and husband, Gerry of Midland, Linda Wilson and husband, Jerald of Big Spring and Bruce Diggs and wife, Lova of Lubbock, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.The family suggests memorials be made to the Texas Lions Camp, P.O.
