EVA MAE LILESEva completed her journey on earth on Monday, July 29, 2013 in Midland, TX. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, August 4, 2013 from 5:00-7:00PM. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 5, 2013 at 10:00AM at Golf Course Road Church of Christ with Tod Brown officiating. Graveside services will be held on Monday, August 5, 2013 at 5:30PM at Fairview Cemetery in Millsap, TX where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, who passed away in March of 1980 after 33 years of marriage.Eva was born in Rising Star, TX to Frank and Vada (Curtis) Woodell. Her parents moved later to Colorado City where she graduated from high school and went to work for SWBell. When her parents moved to Mineral Wells, TX, she transferred with them. There she met a returning sailor, Hollis H. Liles, and they were married Thanksgiving of 1946. Her husband went to work for the FAA, and after moving several times in the course of his career, they moved to Midland in 1969 where he later retired. They were active members of the Golf Course Road Church of Christ. After his death, she attended Midland College and UTPB graduating with an accounting degree. She worked in that field until she retired to take care of her mother. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, an older sister, Ruth Hardegree, and a younger sister, Alma Brown. She is survived by three sons: Richard (Sue) of Lubbock, TX; Randell (Jana) of Hurst, TX; and Douglas (Jeanie) of El Paso, TX. She has eight grandchildren and sis great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a younger sister, Helen Todd of Dickenson, TX as well as several nieces and nephews.After retirement she enjoyed time spent with her sons and grandchildren, traveling and volunteering. She was a Pink Lady at MMs West Campus, did office work at Hospice of Midland, and participated in the Reach to Recovery program for American Cancer Society as long as she was able.The family appreciates her excellent medical care provided by Dr. David Watkins, Dr. John McKenna, Cindy Marriener, C.F.N.P., and Manor Park assisted living unit. A special thanks to her dearest friends Connie and Ricki who were so faithful all those years to love, encourage, and be there for her.
