Estella Barber, 86, of Stanton, died on Sunday, December 19, 2004, in an Odessa care facility. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 22, 2004 at the Evergreen Cemetery Chapel in Stanton with Rev. W.R. Hunter, of Midland officiating. She was born on January 24, 1918, in Mt. Cam, Texas and married Robert Barber on June 9, 1971 in Midland. He preceded her in death on October 11, 1997.Mrs. Barber came to Stanton in 1971. She was a nurses aide, and loved to play cards, work crossword puzzles and read books. She was a kind and loving person. She was a Baptist.Survivors include her daughter, Greta Mitchell of California; and two granddaughters, and many many friends.Arrangements under the direction of Gilbreath Funeral Home of Stanton.
