Estella "Hetchie" Alexander, age 94, of Clovis, New Mexico, formerly of Big Spring, died Thursday, December 4, 2008 at Retirement Ranch Inc. in Clovis, New Mexico. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, December 8, 2008 at Nalley-Pickle and Welch Rosewood Chapel in Big Spring. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park in Big Spring. Hetchie was born May 16, 1914 to Arvil Clyde and Bertha Lee Key Henry in Matador, Texas. She married Arnold Alexander on June 28, 1949 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on February 25, 1970. August of 2007 she moved to Clovis from Malakoff, Texas. She worked as a baker for Piggly Wiggly and was of the Protestant Faith. She loved spending time and having fun with her friends and family. Survivors include her two daughters, Jewell Hill of Melrose, New Mexico, and Sue and husband, Clyde Murry of Malakoff, Texas; two sisters, Edith Massey of Amarillo, Texas, and Gene and husband, Merle Terry of Clovis, New Mexico; 6 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her, parents, six brothers, and two sisters. The family suggests memorials be made to the charity of your choice.
