Karla, Jerry & Benny, I have been thinking the past few days of the wonderful long friendship I had with your Mom and the many good times we had. She had the happiest laugh (only your Aunt Nita could laugh as loud) and I know you all have many good memories to share. One of my funniest was in 1968 when I stopped by to pick Jewel up for the National Bowling Tournament in San Antonio and your Dad came out carrying her bowling bowl. He took me aside and told me to find Jewel someone to sleep with because she could not sleep by herself. He was so sweet about it and so serious that I decided then and there I would sleep with Jewel. And boy, could she hug! We had so many good times. And she and Frances died on the same day and are being buried in the same cemetery, isn't that a God thing, I know they are already dancing in heaven and having a good time. I am thinking of you all and pray for your peace and comfort. I love you. Jo Ann O'Daniel Bailey
