Erma Blagrave, 96, of Big Spring, died on Friday, October 17, 2003, in a local assisted living home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, October 20, 2003 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Larry Marshall, minister of Knott Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. She was born on November 16, 1906, in Wise County, Texas and married Arthur Blagrave on November 24, 1929 in Lovington, New Mexico. He preceded her in death on April 13, 1968. Mrs. Blagrave moved to the Brown Community at age 4 and attended the Knott schools. She was a member of the Knott Church of Christ. Mrs Blagrave's life centered around church and family and she was happiest when participating in family activities. She loved to fish and hunt. She was a member of the Ladies Bible Class of Ackerly for many years. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Derwood and Joan Blagrave of Ackerly; one sister, Norma Wheeler of Big Spring; her grandsons and their families, Stan and Carla Blagrave and their daughters, Shelli Blagrave, Krista Blagrave and Brittni Blagrave all of Ackerly; and Steve and Tracie Blagrave and their sons, Sean Blagrave and Trevor Blagrave all of Ackerly. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM Sunday at the family gathering room behind the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel.
