Erin Leigh Cochran, 39, of Midland passed away on November 26, 2012 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at First Presbyterian Church at 2:00 pm with Dr. Steve Schorr, officiating.Erin was born on August 28, 1973 in Wichita, Kansas to Jerry L. and Mary Cochran. She moved with her father during his medical studies back to Oklahoma for him to complete his orthopedic training before moving to Midland in 1981. She attended Hillander School, Midland Christian and Hockaday School in Dallas. Erin attended Bard College at Annedale on the Hudson in New York, then moved to Boston, she continued her studies at Hunter College in New York City. Erin finished her undergraduate studies with a degree in studio art at the University of Oklahoma and was currently working on her masters degree at UTPB in psychology. Erins first love was her daughter Olive, and her second love was her painting. She was an intellectual and always pursued the study of studio art and was a very talented portrait artist. Fine literature was a passion for Erin, especially the classics. She was an exceptionally well read person. The loss of Erin is a great loss to the world. She will be deeply missed by all those that she touched with her unique spirit and her talented eye for things that most of us would never see.Survivors include, her father and mother, Jerry L.
