Erin was truly a great friend and I will cherish our memories. So very intelligent, beautiful, and loving. She made me feel at home when I first began the Ph.D. program at Tech. When we first met in 2003, I was pregnant with my first and I know how much she wanted to start a family and be a mom. A terrific person who will be missed. My prayers are with you.

This past weekend was a tragic example depicting what really matters in life. When I heard about what happened, I was truly heart-broken. I have always been a strong believer that God has a plan for all of us and that everything that happens is for a reason. We may never know what that reason is, but we still have to keep our faith and pray that God will take care of Erin and watch over her friends and family in this dark time. I knew Erin throughout most of my college years, and she was an absolutely wonderful person. I have a lot of great memories with her, from dove hunting to pitching washers in the back yard. She had a natural gift of bringing happiness to those around her, which was unforgettable. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Both families will continue to be in my thoughs and prayers. God Bless, Greg

Words cannot express how heavy our hearts are for all of you. Reggie and I loved having Erin in the youth group which seems like yesterday. We were so thrilled when they decided to build a house in our wonderful neighborhood. What a precious wife and mother. We smile every time we think about the beautiful pumpkin patch and how she seemed to delight in decorating her yard with them. We pray God will somehow guard your hearts and minds and comfort you as only He can.

Words cannot express the sadness in our hearts. Erin had a spark for life, and all of those who knew her, felt it. I will never forget the day Erin invited us to Stanton for a dove hunt. She would always watch over our shoulders and grin. To Erin, we were just rookies. Her smile and kindness will never be forgotten. We are terribly sorry for the loss of this amazing person. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Wheeler and Cook families. May God give you comfort in the days to come.
Cash Berry left a message on February 8, 2011:
Erin had a zest for life that you rarely find in this world. She was a bright young woman that was comfortable in many settings. From the skeet and trap range to the classroom, Erin always found a way to excel and set herself apart from everyone else. She could out score you on an exam and limit out faster dove hunting, all in the same day. I will forever be in her debt for helping me get through Mr. Middleton's database project at Tech. I know I will always think of her fondly and she will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers will be with all of the family during this difficult time.

My heart goes out to you Gene & family. The ones left behind are the ones that hurt so badly but loved ones that are born-again and know Jesus are immediately taken up and it's a peaceful loving tunnel we go through and you don't want to come back. I know we who know Jesus as our Personal Savior are going on a fantastic journey some day as I went thru the tunnel literally in my Spirit vision when I was 32 and Escape from Hell Dvd showed the exact tunnel 25 yrs later where they interviewed people that had died but came back from the light. It was the same tunnel I went thru, such confirmation! Please let this give you peace and comfort at this time for you all in God our Heavenly Father's Love. Peace to you in Jesus Name! I pray this helps all of you
