Emma Junek, 88, of Big Spring, died on Thursday, December 13, 2007, at her residence. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 15, 2007 at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park with her nephew, Rev. Robert Cavanaugh, officiating.She was born on April 1, 1919, in Paris, Texas and married Milton Junek on February 16, 1964 in Lovington, New Mexico.Emma worked at Hall-Bennett Hospital until her retirement in 1980, after which she farmed with Milton until his retirement in 1992.Emma loved and enjoyed her life. She shared this with all those she touched. Emma was always sitting on "Ready" when the words – dancing, fishing or travel was mentioned. Her greatest joy was traveling the United States with Milton. Many a time they would hook up to the 5th wheel, hit the road not really knowing their destination.Survivors include her husband, Milton Junek of Big Spring; two daughters and sons-in-law, Corine and William O. Breedlove of Las Cruces, New Mexico and Mary Dupre and David Hildebrand of Odessa; three grandsons, two step grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and one sister, Violet Arnold of Lubbock.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
