Emma \Jane\ Headrick, 89, of Big Spring, died Sunday, February 15, 2015 in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, February 19, 2015 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Joey Bacon, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.She was born February 14, 1926 in Meade County, KS and married LeRoy Headrick August 28, 1943 in Montezuma, Kansas. He preceded her in death February 8, 2012.Jane came to Howard County in 1968 and had worked as a loan clerk for Cosden Credit Union for 10 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Coahoma and the Women's Society. She was Past Matron and 50 year member of the Winona Chapter # 444 Order of the Easter Star in Plains, Kansas and was a life member of the Liberal Chapter # 104 Order of the Easter Star in Liberal, Kansas.She loved to do hand crafts, embroidery quilts and to crochet. Jane was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and was always involved in her children's activities as they were growing up.Survivors include four sons, Wayne Headrick and wife, Barbara of North Las Vegas, Nevada, Wallace Headrick of Arizona, Gary Headrick and wife, Janet of Rago, Kansas and Robin Headrick and wife, Lorraine of Friendswood; two daughters, Becky Rau and husband, Sid of Big Spring and Melanie Ussery and husband, Jimmy Sherrod of Garden City; two sisters, Alice Weller of Meade, Kansas and Eursal Monhollon and husband, Jim of Independence, Missouri; 13 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.She was also preceded in death by her parents, Chester Guy Wallace and Susie Eursal Kettle Wallace; four brothers, Walter Wallace, Guy Wallace, Glenn Wallace and Eldon Wallace; one sister, Velma King; a granddaughter, Melissa Ussery; and a great-grandson, Andrew Dickens.The family suggests memorials to Compass Hospice, 602 S. Main St., Big Spring, Texas 79720 or to Lamun-Lusk-Sanchez TSVH activity fund, 1809 N.
